February 12th Lunch on Tuesdays Program

Join us for our next Lunch on Tuesdays program to hear a presentation by Captain Kevin Buckley, MD, Commanding Officer of Military Sealift Command‘s hospital ship USNS COMFORT. Captain Buckley will share with our group his experiences with the humanitarian missions of the ship and its crew, including its recent deployment to hurricane-ravaged Puerto Rico in 2017 and assistance to refugees off of Colombia in 2018.

USNS COMFORT (T-AH 20)

Captain Buckley completed his Doctor of Medicine in 1993 at Tufts University under the auspices of an Armed Forces Health Professions Scholarship. He was commissioned a Lieutenant in the U. S. Navy Medical Corps 1993 aboard the USS CONSTITUTION. With numerous international duty assignments and achievements from 1993 to 2015, he came to serve as Executive Officer, U. S. Naval Hospital, Guantanamo Bay, Cuba. In June 2017 Captain Buckley assumed Command of the USNS COMFORT, Medical Treatment Facility.
